Semolina gnocchi is a recipe of Roman origin, and is also known as Gnocchi Alla Romana.
It is a light and delicate recipe, which conquers by its super special flavor and texture! Unlike traditional gnocchi, which have wheat flour and potatoes, in this recipe gnocchi are made with semolina and cooked in milk.
This gnocchi is a great option to prepare and eat with the family, for sure it will be very successful!

Ingredients

1 ¼ cup of Semolina Wheat Venturelli tea;

1 liter of milk;

4 tablespoons of butter;

300 grams of grated Parmesan cheese;

2 eggs to bread;

Wheat flour to bread;

Salt to taste;

Method of preparation

Start by covering the bottom and sides of a medium rectangular baking sheet with film and set aside;

In a saucepan, add the butter, milk, semolina and salt. Bring to a high heat and mix until the dough is ready to come out of the pan;

In the pan with film, pour the dough and spread with the help of a spatula. Then, place another layer of film on the surface of the dough. Smooth with your hands;

Let cool and refrigerate for approximately 4 hours or until the dough is firm;

Then, take it out of the refrigerator and cut it into 7 cm diameter slices;

Venturelli tip: you can use either a round cutter or the mouth of a cup to cut the dough;

Now, preheat the oven to 200 °;

In a bowl, pour the eggs and beat with a fork;

In three different deep dishes, add the flour, beaten eggs and grated cheese separately. Start by putting a slice of gnocchi in the flour and removing the excess. Then dip in the eggs and drain well. Finally, add the slices to the plate with grated cheese;

Venturelli Tip: Always remember to remove excess flour and eggs well!

Repeat the operation with all the slices;

In a greased or non-stick baking dish, place the slices and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the dough is golden brown;

Remove from the oven and serve with sauce of your choice or with melted butter;
