Bread is a food that is part of the routine, as it appears both at breakfast, snacks and dinner. A good idea is to replace the white version with oat bread, considered healthier. How about doing it at home? See the recipes and choose your favorite:

1. Simple oatmeal bread

Ingredients

  • 20 g oat flakes
  • 1 egg white
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the 3 ingredients;
  2. Pour batter into a microwaveable bowl;
  3. Place in microwave for 2 minutes;
  4. Wait for it to cool;
  5. Divide into two slices;
  6. Place on grill to brown and enjoy.

2. Oat bread in the frying pan

Ingredients

  • Oil for greasing the pan
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup sweet cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Grease a frying pan with the oil and add the sunflower seeds;
  2. In a bowl, mix together the oats, sprinkles, salt and chia;
  3. Make a hole in the center of the dry ingredients and add the egg and water;
  4. Stir until smooth;
  5. Add the yeast and mix quickly;
  6. Transfer the batter to the pan;
  7. With double grill and low heat, cover skillet and let bread bake for 10 minutes;
  8. Turn the bread over with a spatula and cover again;
  9. Bake for another 3 minutes;
  10. Remove bread from pan and leave on paper towel;
  11. Serve as soon as cooled.

3. Oatmeal bread with cheese in the frying pan

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of oatmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Grated mozzarella to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the oats, egg and salt;
  2. Add the water, yeast, and grated mozzarella;
  3. Pour the batter into a greased pan;
  4. Cover and cook over low heat;
  5. After about 10 minutes, turn the bread over;
  6. Let the underside brown and serve.

4. Oatmeal stuffed skillet bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of water
  • 1 dash of olive oil
  • Grated cheese to taste
  • Ham to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, add the flour, salt, yeast, eggs and water;
  2. Mix very well;
  3. Grease the pan with the olive oil;
  4. Pour half the batter into the skillet already on low heat;
  5. When baked, place the cheese and ham on top;
  6. Cover with the remaining dough;
  7. Enjoy!

5. Oat bread fit in the microwave

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • Oregano to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, place the egg, the oregano and the oats;
  2. Stir well and add the yeast and salt;
  3. Microwave for 2 minutes;
  4. Place bread in sandwich maker;
  5. When browned, serve.

6. Oat bread with honey

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 and ½ cup warm water
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup oat bran
  • 1 tablespoon biological yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil and honey;
  2. Add the warm water, stir well and set aside;
  3. In a bowl, mix together the flour, bran and yeast;
  4. Mix dry ingredients well and add salt;
  5. Add half of the reserved liquid mixture;
  6. When stirring well, add the remainder of the liquid mixture;
  7. Line a baking pan with parchment paper;
  8. Spread the dough on it;
  9. Cover with a cloth and wait 30 minutes;
  10. Bake in a medium oven for about 40 minutes;
  11. The bread will be ready to serve.

7. Gluten free oat bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup sweet cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup warm water

Directions

  1. In a bowl add the oatmeal and the sweet cornmeal;
  2. Add the dry biological yeast and the salt;
  3. Add the olive oil and honey;
  4. Gradually add the warm water, but reserve 1/3 of it;
  5. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes;
  6. Add the remaining water;
  7. Transfer the dough to a silicone baking pan;
  8. Level with wet hands, gently squeezing the dough;
  9. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes;
  10. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

8. Oatmeal bread with cream

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal flakes
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chestnuts

Directions

  1. Beat the eggs;
  2. Add the salt, olive oil, and heavy cream;
  3. Whisk everything together again;
  4. Add the flaked oats and let the dough rest for 20 minutes;
  5. Add the yeast, sesame, and nuts;
  6. Grease a baking pan and pour the batter into it;
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes;
  8. Wait for it to cool and enjoy!

9. Oatmeal xanthan gum bread

Ingredients

  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons demerara sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 50 g fine flaked oats
  • 55 g of coarse flaked oats
  • 1/3 cup sweet cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum

Directions

  1. In a bowl, place the yeast, sugar and water;
  2. Cover and let it ferment for 15 minutes;
  3. Add the beaten egg, salt, olive oil, fine flaked oats and stir;
  4. Add the coarse flaked oats and the sweet cornmeal;
  5. Mix well and add the xanthan gum;
  6. Spread the dough into a greased baking pan;
  7. Sprinkle oats on top;
  8. Let the dough rest for 35 minutes;
  9. Bake in 180 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

10. Whole oat bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fine flaked oats
  • 1 cup sweet cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup mixed seeds and nuts

Directions

  1. Add the oats, sprinkles, sugar, yeast and xanthan gum in a bowl;
  2. Make a hollow in the center of the dry ingredients and add the egg and warm water gradually;
  3. Finish with the salt and the mix of seeds and nuts;
  4. Transfer the dough to a greased baking pan;
  5. Let rest for about 45 minutes;
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes;
  7. Remove from oven and wait 5 minutes;
  8. Unmold and let cool on paper towel;
  9. Slice and serve.
