Cake ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup crystal sugar
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 1 cup iced pomegranate tea

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice

  • Juice of 1 lemon

How to prepare

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar;
  2. Add the oil, pomegranate tea, honey, whisk again and set aside;
  3. In another bowl, sift and mix together the flour, baking powder and baking soda;
  4. Incorporate the flours into the liquid mixture little by little, mixing until a homogeneous mass is obtained;
  5. Transfer this dough to a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes;
  6. After that time, lower the oven to 150 degrees and bake for another 45 minutes;
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool;
  8. For the syrup, mix in a saucepan the pomegranate juice, sugar and lemon juice and cook over medium heat;

  • 115 g butter
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 50 g honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 12 g baking powder
  • 500 g flour
  • 600 g cream cheese
  • 220 g mascarpone
  • 100 g caster sugar

Directions

  1. In a saucepan over a bain-marie, add the butter, sugar and honey and mix until melted;
  2. Remove from the water bath and add the eggs one at a time, stirring well;
  3. Add the baking powder and flour little by little, always stirring;
  4. When the dough becomes heavy, knead with hands until homogeneous;
  5. Divide this dough into 8 equal parts;
  6. Open each part with a rolling pin to a thickness of 4 mm;
