1. Chili pepper jelly

Ingredients

  • 4 finger-of-moça chili peppers
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 apples
  • 160 ml water

Method of preparation

  1. Slice the finger-of-moça peppers and remove the interior and the seeds;
  2. Then chop the pepper into very small pieces;
  3. Put the chopped pepper into a saucepan and add the sugar, lemon juice, and zest apples with a spoon;
  4. Bring the pan to the fire and cook until it reaches the pearl point, in which it begins to caramelize;
  5. Add the water and continue cooking, for about 10 minutes after it comes to a boil, stirring occasionally;
  6. When the jelly is denser, to the point of syrup, turn off the fire;
  7. Let cool and store in a sterilized glass jar.

2. Jalapeño pepper jelly

Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 apples
  • 160 ml water

Method of preparation

  1. Cut the jalapeño pepper in half and discard the seeds;
  2. Then slice the pepper into very small pieces;
  3. In a saucepan, add the jalapeño pepper, sugar, lemon juice, and the apples scraped with a spoon;
  4. Bring the pan to a boil and cook over low heat until it begins to caramelize;
  5. Add the water and cook for about 10 minutes after it comes to a boil, stirring constantly;
  6. When the jelly is of the ideal, denser consistency, turn off the fire;
  7. Allow to warm, and then store your jelly in a sterilized glass jar.

3. Pepper jelly with apple

Ingredients

  • 5 finger-of-moça chili peppers
  • 1 grated apple peeled and seeded
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup water

Directions

  1. Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds and chop them into small pieces;
  2. In a saucepan, add the chopped pepper, apple, lemon juice, garlic, cinnamon, sugar, salt and water;
  3. Mix all very well and bring to a boil to cook;
  4. When it starts to bubble, lower the heat and cook for another 10 minutes, until it gains consistency;
  5. Remove the cinnamon and garlic from the jelly;
  6. When it is at the ideal consistency, turn off the fire and let it cool;
  7. Store in a sterilized pot and enjoy!

4. Pepper jelly with paprika

Ingredients

  • 3 grated apples, peeled and seeded
  • 2 red peppers, chopped
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 500 ml orange juice

Directions

  1. Take all ingredients to fire in a saucepan and mix well;
  2. Let cook for 25 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until consistent;
  3. Transfer to another container, chill in the refrigerator, and enjoy!

5. Pepper jelly with tomato

Ingredients

  • 1 kg peeled tomatoes
  • 300 g granulated sugar
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 finger-of-moça peppers, chopped and seeded

Directions

  1. Peel the tomatoes with your hands;
  2. Take the tomatoes to the pan and add the sugar, lemon juice, salt and pepper;
  3. Stir all very well, until dissolved, and cook over low heat until boiling;
  4. When it comes to a boil, remove the foam that forms on top;
  5. Cook for about 20 minutes, until it reaches the ideal consistency, and turn off the fire;
  6. Place the still hot jelly in sterilized glass jars and enjoy!

6. Pepper jelly with strawberry

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes of strawberries
  • 8 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 chopped and seeded finger-of-moça pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions

  1. Remove the leaves from the strawberries and chop them into small cubes;
  2. Place the strawberry, sugar, pepper, and lemon juice in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat until boiling;
  3. Lower the fire and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until thickened;
  4. When the jelly has thickened, turn off the fire and let it cool;
  5. Store the jam in sterilized glassware and enjoy!

7. Pepper jelly with orange

Ingredients

  • 2 finger-of-moça chili peppers
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Juice of 2 oranges

Directions

  1. Slice the peppers in half, remove the seeds, chop them into small pieces and set aside;
  2. Grate the apple and set aside;
  3. In a saucepan, add the sugar, orange juice and mix well;
  4. Bring to medium heat and add the pepper and apple;
  5. When it comes to a boil, lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly;
  6. Turn off the heat, let cool and enjoy!

8. Pepper jelly with pineapple

Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple, chopped
  • 1 cup of water
  • 6 chopped pimientos dedo-de-moça
  • 1 chopped green apple
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions

  1. Place the pineapple, water, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth;
  2. Pour this mixture into the pan and set aside;
  3. Now, add in the blender the apple, lemon juice, sugar and beat well;
  4. Put this mixture into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly;
  5. When it reaches the desired point, turn off the fire;
  6. Transfer jelly to sterilized glass jars and enjoy!

9. Pepper jelly with demerara sugar

Ingredients

  • 100 g finger-of-moça pepper
  • 300 g cambuci pepper
  • 1/2 kg ripe pineapple
  • 100 ml water
  • 500 g demerara sugar
  • 5 g pectin
  • 1 g citric acid

Method of preparation

  1. Remove the tips from the chiles (dedo-de-moça and cambuci). Set aside;
  2. In a blender, add the pineapple and water and blend quickly;
  3. Add the chili peppers and pulse lightly, leaving the mixture chunky;
  4. Pour this mixture into a saucepan and add the demerara sugar, pectin and citric acid;
  5. Cook over a high fire, and when it begins to boil, remove the foam that forms on top;
  6. Cook for about 15 minutes, until it begins to become denser, in the texture of a gel;
  7. When it reaches the ideal consistency, turn off the fire;
  8. While still hot, transfer the jelly to a sterilized glass jar;
  9. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy!

10. Pepper jelly fit low carb

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 finger-of-moça peppers
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup cooking sweetener

Directions

  1. Peel the apples, remove the seeds and grate them;
  2. In a saucepan, place the grated apples and the water and bring to a boil;
  3. Meanwhile, slice the peppers in half, remove the seeds, chop into small pieces, and set aside;
  4. Add, to the saucepan with the apple, the lemon juice, pepper, salt, cinnamon powder and culinary sweetener;
  5. Cook for about 40 minutes, until it reaches the desired consistency;
  6. Reserve in a pot and enjoy!
